The Blog Will Continue!!!

Thank you to all of you who responded and said you enjoy the blog. I received many more responses than I expected, some from people I haven't even met (thanks to Nana who has spread word and pictures of Will faster than a wildfire!). So...the blog will continue!

A question

So I've been at this blogging thing for almost four months. Is there anyone out there actually viewing Will's blog??? Based on the counter, it seems as though I am the only one. Please speak up (comment, email, call, send a letter...whatever) if you do check the blog. I can think of many things I can do during Will's naps if I am only amusing myself with the blog...

We recently took a trip to New England and saw lots of family and friends. Will did great on the plane again and met lots of new people.

Although technically Will isn't big enough for the jumperoo yet (his feet don't reach the ground...if he's anything like me, it could be a life-long problem) I have put him in it a couple times. He really seems to enjoy it.

Happy Birthday Tim and successful bedtime for Will

As I mentioned in the previous post, yesterday was Tim's birthday. He was on call so we celebrated at home with dinner and cake.

While I was cooking dinner, Tim took Will upstairs to put him to bed. He was calm and quiet but completely awake when Tim put him in his crib. We watched from our nifty video monitor as he squirmed and looked around for about 10 minutes then drifted quietly off to sleep...SUCCESS!!! I have only two wishes 1) that this easy bedtime routine will continue, and 2) that the nighttime waking will end. That's not too much to ask, is it??

Will goes to work

Our plan for when Tim gets called out to work has been that I will bring Will to work with me and Tim will come pick him up at my office when he gets in. This morning we had to put the plan into action. Yesterday was Tim's birthday so last night I cooked him dinner and we enjoyed birthday cake. We were fortunate that he didn't get called in on his birthday, but at 1:00 am the phone rang. I thought it was a dream until I woke up this morning and he wasn't in bed. Tim had to bring an airplane down to Jacksonville to replace a broken airplane and bring the passengers back to Atlanta this morning. I packed Will up and drove him to work with me. He was a big hit...everyone wanted him to spend the day. Tim got to my office at about 8:30 but Will wasn't done visiting. Tim and Will stayed until about 9:00 then headed for home.

...except this Friday I had a gun! We were invited to go skeet shooting with some co-workers. I've never been and had no idea what I was doing, but I got some great instruction and had a blast!!

Catching Up

So, I know it's been a while since we've updated the blog. We have been quite busy traveling (Easter weekend in Beaufort), hosting guests (grandparents from all sides) and returning to work (both of us).

Our Easter weekend in Beaufort was fun for Will and I. Tim, on the other hand, spent Saturday, Sunday and Monday in bed with a horrible stomach illness of some kind. I will spare you the details. Fortunately, no one else contracted the bug.

I returned to work at the airport and, of course, my first day back, Tim got called to work. My dad calls it the "law of reserve"...if you have no plans and nothing to do, you won't get called to work...if you make any kind of plans, you will get the dreaded call from scheduling. So far, that is pretty much holding true for us. Fortunately, Will is right at home with Cara and the Terreri boys (and I hope she is finding taking care of three boys fun :). So far, Will has spent two days with our "back up babysitter" Cara.
