The birthday party that almost wasn't

A week before his birthday, Will was diagnosed with RSV.  The pediatrician warned us that the next 2 - 3 weeks would be very difficult with his symptoms getting much worse before they got better.  We prepared for sleepless nights and even had to call everyone and cancel his birthday party.  The next day, Will barely had a runny nose and was playing and laughing like normal.  We thought that maybe it was the calm before the storm, but his symptoms never worsened.  The pediatrician's excuse was that RSV affects all children differently.  The party was back on!!
