Our little weed has sprouted

Will had his 6 month check up yesterday. Our petite little 4 month old munchkin has sprouted into an almost average 6 month old. He weighed in at 17 pounds 6 ounces and measured 26 inches.

Travels Part II

After spending the weekend in Beaufort we were back home for a few days then off to Destin, Florida for a weekend on the beach. Mimi flew in to take care of Will for the weekend so it was a nice getaway weekend for all! On Captain Ron's fishing vessel...actually just a 24' Cape Horn but it got the job done.
I caught the biggest fish of the day and the only grouper. We did very well and brought home a bunch of snapper** and some grouper filets. After investing in a food vacuum sealer, we have a freezer full of fish!

**Edited to note that Tim did catch the biggest snapper although it wasn't as big as my grouper. Did I already mention that?

Travels

The recent posting hiatus has been due to our busy schedule. We traveled to Beaufort for cousin Gib's First Birthday (Happy Birthday Gib!) party on July 25th. Photos from the trip...

This was technically Will's first day at the beach although we didn't stay long...we were chased off by incliment weather.

Will's second day at the beach was much sunnier. We stayed for a few hours and he even took a nap!

A Major Milestone

Not for Will...Poppy changed his first diaper EVER!! Yep, two kids, two grandkids and this was his first diaper change.

4th of July activities

Will attended his first 4th of July parade and loved it. He visited with friends and watched the parade go by.

He even tried his first popsicle. I think he liked it.

By the end of the parade, he was exhausted and passed out.

He took a 2 hour nap when we got home and spent the rest of the day swimming with Mom, Dad and his two babysitters for the day.
